Lots of AMC birds visible from your location.

I assume you are not talking about the cable/dish/directv AMC network. That is a encrypted channel and you will never get it FTA.

Thanks

Well I guess I'll have to leave well enough alone and just be happy with the free channels I get now. I just keep thinking there has to be better channels that I haven't found yet so I keep searching. (like picking an old scab)

Best chance for movies is to upgrade to C-band.

Honestly subbing to one of the movie packages with a 4DTV receiver isn't that bad. For Starz and Encore I have 24 channels & I believe I paid $130.00 for the year. That's basically $10.00 per month. Can't rent for that. There is that minor investment of the 4DTV receiver and dish though

I mentioned wishing there was a way for me to put up a C-Band dish the other day and I got a really "evil eye" from my wife.

My wife has always been pretty understanding about dishes, although we started with C-band only, and upgraded to Ku. But I thought it was interesting that about a week ago, she looked at our dish farm, an area of our yard with a 10', a 6', a 3', and a DTV dish, and she kind of frowned. I thought that she was finally unhappy with the number of dishes, particularly because I had promised to throw away the 6' if I could get the 3'. However it turned out that she was unhappy not because of the number of dishes, but because I had coax dangling off the edge of the big dish. So I used some wire to tie up the coax, made it look neat, and she's happy again. At least until she remembers that I promised to throw out the 6' dish.

yeah it is usualy the little things that make them unhappy.and keeping the wife happy while adding new toy's is part of the hobbie.
