AC3 audio

Hi everybody... I getting a bunch of PBS channels in (don't remember the sat)... but all those channels are coming as AC3 audio, which is good when you have a portable AC3 decoder, but right now me Home theater is on a different room than my receiver (which is in my bedroom)....

those PBS transmit another audio channel??? Is there a way to find out if the channel has another audio PID??? or the only option is connect the receiver to the HT???

any suggestions will be appreciated
Best Regards

Victor

What type of sat receiver do you have ?
Most of them have an OSD feature to indicate you on a channel if you have more than 1 audio channel, and if you have ac3 channel or not

Those PBS channels DO have 2 different audio channels, however they are both AC3. Only other option is different receiver or get another decoder.

Yeah, well... in theory my sat receiver can handle AC3 signals (and I have a Toslink optical cable to my home theater), but I still get nada from the PBS channels. The only time my Dolby icon actually lights up is KFTL, Oakland (AMC6, 72W). Just what I need: the Home Shopping Network in Dolby!
