American TV Here you could discuss what is available as FTA American channels on satellite. No discussion of hacking encrypted channels or know how related to that matter is allowed. Discuss only channels that have been listed publicly on lyngsat. Non-public FTA channels should be discussed in the New Finds forum only.

Google Lyngsat and you can view what is on the different Birds... The Fortec also has a listing of Satellites, already built in, so all you have to do is make sure you have set each bird up with the right specs, and then scan!!!

Ref,

You're right the Viewsat library of satellites, while pretty good, is hardly complete. I've been hand-loading satellite info, transponders, etc. and have added a bunch--mostly TV "live shots" and other feeds. I don't have a list exactly; I've just been using Lyngsat.com and a few other sources. If a get a few moments (), I may try and download the channel management software from Viewsat, but so far I've just been punching things in by the remote.

Good luck,
Bob

I would do as Bob said I would put satellites in manual from www.lyngsat.com that way you will have the sat's and channels you want.
