American TVHere you could discuss what is available as FTA American channels on satellite. No discussion of hacking encrypted channels or know how related to that matter is allowed. Discuss only channels that have been listed publicly on lyngsat. Non-public FTA channels should be discussed in the New Finds forum only.
I heard that the FCC has put out a notice of proposed rule making to get comments on the new 18 and 24 Ghz bands. Also read that DTV and Dish indicated that if it goes through the will apply for the first licenses followed by other. What would be the advantages of 24 Ghz vs the current 12? And if it goes through, will there be some FTA sats that will go into the new range? Maybe a 4 band receiver? Anyone who has info or opinions please post.
