Al-Jazeera International brodcasting their 24 hours news program in English from yesterday the 15th of November 2006. This brodcasting can be seen on Globecast World TV sate; it's channel 463. This news channel simultanously programming from their studios from Washington,DC, London, Kualalampur and Doha . Although major U.S. satelite distributors refused to brodcast this channel in the United States, Globecast World TV providing this service for its U.S. viewers. Golbecast provider can be contacted online(Globecastwtv.com) for service. This English Aljazeera is also available online with a monthly fee.

Another channel available for U.S. viewrs is Bridges TV the only American Islamic Channel on channel 505.

Globecsat World TV also providing BTV World(channel 704) and STV USA(Channel:058) and two Indian Bangla Channel Akash Bangla and Tara Music. Two Indian movie and music programming ASC and ASC Extra also available from Globecast World TV.

Other important channels provided by Globecast are Russia Today(24 hours English newsl and Euronews(24 hours english news).

It is undertood that we are protected with our rights of freedom and considering that we respect the righs of other fellow citizen. freedom of speech is one thing that goes right biside with respect of law and order and achived by people by hard work, blood, tears and work in their onw such history.if we go and ask those Al-jazeeresh. do they respect their ows Citizens, would they play with law and order or just trow at us someboby propaganda which we will not have the tools to know if the facts are true or not. they do not!!what freedom do they respect. can we go there and broadcast inside their borders. .freedom of speech is to be garded as one of our greatest treasures and not by confused by Al- Bilazeera. Wilson, you may not know that, but the USA does have several news channels in the Middle East. Such as Al-Hurra, Voice of America, CNN, Fox, ABC, and all the networks. Almost all are available FTA, see lyngsat.com for listings on Middle Eastern satellites.

I think it should be available to all US carriers and they should be allowed to carry it......

But I don't beleive any carrier should be forced to carry it (any more than they should be forced to carry CNN, Fox, or MSNBC)....

FWIW, I watched it some and from what I seen so far, its just not my cup of tea (they seem to get caught up in 1 story for a long time and ramble on with more detail than others)... I too perfer Russia Today or CCTV-9! (this is not to say that I don't watch from time to time if I'm surfing by and see something interesting)...

At any rate, I'm glad I have it... It's something that, with all the other neat things we get, makes FTA unique...

Any news channel from any country should be shown as here as we need to verify the bribed / propaganda news channels stories like Cnn and Fox and their opinions about what actually happened and what they do not want us to see as they think we are stupid at least I am.

Even in South Africa where a lot of stuff is covered up they have more freedom of speech than here in the USA / part of the USA I expereince daily.

Just look at how limited / controled the media is / satellite.

I once was excited and mentioned that I want IPTV , 2 years ago on Apple.com forums and within 1 week DW tv internet video stream was blocked here in USA ??

Is freedom of speech protected here = not at all but again everything withing decentcy and not with vile and purpose of trying to spread hatred then and only then maybe yes.

Unfortunately we are all learning and I do not even understand my mother speaking the same 5 European languages as her + 11 official South African languages as her , so how can I hate any of my pavement special inbred 8 different nationalities that is in me from my forefathers sides.
Heck I am still trying to get used to the idea about it.
So what am I then ? I do not know or care but I can try to be accomodating / understanding and try to learn new cultures and at least enjoy their good food somethimes.

Just because my gran mother cooked half a turkey in the oven and my mother does the same = why = is it right = yes / no ?
The actual answer Lies in the fact that they had 6 types of different meat on the table every sunday so it was a waist and also the old ovens was small so a whole turkey does not fit in it .LOL And the workers / nation as we called them did not like turkey as we slaughtered 1 sheep and half a cow for them every saterday as well so they also can have sunday lunch after church.

The first democratic thing I experienced since back in the USA in 3 years is FTA.

I spend plenty years in 48 country's and found that Siberia has more freedom / democracy than in the USA / UK in my point of view and in the few places I have been in the USA.

Is this opinion of mine of the USA correct = NO not at all but the view I see = my point of view as made by my current experience.
But again it is my experience and my view of things as compared to my past experiences.
Another person walking the same path will tell you another story as he has seen smething that I have not or in a dfferent light.

Is there any country that is democratic = no not in the last 3000 years not even the greeks / romans.
Everyone is trying to get there.
Is there Freedom = No = just barely , only until such a point as we allow ourselfs to be exploited and then it is enough and then freedom tries to happen until corrupted again.
