Best English FTA Channels

What are some of the Channels or Shows you watch on your KU/Band that your cable/DBS brethren cannot?

Any good Asian (or other foriegn) channels/shows with English audio or subtitles?

Gonna buy a setup (hopefully) soon; trying to get feel for what I'll be getting.

You don't need any flashes; the factory firmware on the Pansat 2500A will pick up all FTA satellite signals in the DVB format.

Channel lists? We don't need no stinking channel lists !!!!

The Pansat 2500 A is a blind search receiver. Just aim your dish at the desired satellite and the receiver will build its own "channel list".

English Programming

There are very few English channels. But, English programming on non-English channels does exist.

I frequently see English language programing subtitled in Arabic on Oman TV on Hispanisat. Also, IRIB-2 on T-5 has a lot of Iranian programming with English Subitites. They also have an English news broadcast every day. China's version of the " world service" on G3 has all English all the time programming. There are some US locals on G10. Also, a few PBS stations on AMC3. If you want English language Radio, there is plenty available also.

You need to become familiar with lyngsat.com to really feel comfortable with what is available.
