while PAS8 isn't in the menu, you can simply enter its orbital location (166 degs) and your location.
A quick glance at Lyngsat makes it look like it will be very very low on the horizon maybe between 2 and 3 degs of elevation, so really depends where in CA you are.
It also looks like there aren't any active spot beams to the Pacific coast, but i see on the PAS 8 footprint map that they have 2 beams available.
So, it is worth a shot.
