RTR COMING TO AMERICA :lol:

Russia's largest TV network, the state-run RTR, is coming to the United States with a Russian-language TV channel. New York City, home of the largest Russian immigrant community in the United States, will account for a significant portion of the channel's audience. RTR, the largest television company in the Russian Federation, teamed up with the U.S.-based Russian Media Group to launch the new Russian channel, called "RTR Planeta". Head of the Media Group, Mark Golub, says the channel will reach at least a third of the three million Russian-speakers currently living in the United States. With its 89 affiliated stations, RTR reaches audiences across Russia.

Hello:
I started watching RTR Planeta on Telstar 11 a week ago. At the beginning quality was excellent and signal very strong 89-95. Now during a day and early pm. signal fades away down to 46-51 range. It gets strong again later on after 7 pm. The same happens with TvPolonia. (same transponder). Ohio network on T11 (different tp) is sstrong 98 all the time. Did you experience similar problems?

do you get a video and sound on T11 for PTP planeta? I get only sound, and "no video signal " message at strenght67 and quality 98... Still waitin for your answer...

just installed 1.8m prodelin dish last week rtr comes in strong 24/7

I get RTP Planeta with a 90 cm dish with nice video and audio on telstar 11.

is it C-Band or KU? What kind of equipment do i need to receive that channel?
