....and promise of increasing quality of program (more sports, movies, etc)
If I can be proved wrong I will definelly apologize.
Signal for North America is taken from Hotbird and it's sent to South American satellite, NSS-806. That sattelite covers North American region also. From there
Globecast takes the signal and once encrypted in their location in New York, I believe, they uplink it to
IA5 (former T5)
What I really want to know is: HRT says they'll be showing more movies, sport, etc since program is encrypted now, and there is no problems with programming rights anymore.
How is this possible since original source of feed (from Hotbird in Europe is still FTA). Crosat feed stays free even in South America.
This implies that showing of program that requires encryption is not possible because main source and other parts of the world are still FTA.
This would only make sense if HRT would encrypt program at source (in Zagreb) but Crosat wouldn't be free in Europe or rest of the world anymore (like Australia and South America)
I would like to get explanation for this from HRT-America since so far I don't see HRT's program getting any better, eventhough program is encrypted partially. I seriously think we won't see any improvements for while since main source of signal is still FTA.
I won't be starting subscribtion until I see increase in picture quality and more sport, movies, etc). I check their online program everyday and no improvements. I can even see it myself when part of the program is free (12 hours a day)
