    Wild Feeds

As I look at the various American satellites that are beamed to the United States on the lyngsat website, I have noticed that there are many transponder frequencies on these satellites that carry wild fees that are shaded in grey.

I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to manually program all these transponder frequencies on a specific satellite even though they are not active 100% of the time or whether it is better to just do a recurring blind scan every so often to pick up what is presently active. I feel that if these wild feed frequencies are already programmed into a specific satellite, when I do an occasional transponder scan, they would probably kick in as active after such a scan.

I would like to hear some comments on this.

I do is a power scan and maybe more on other days, after some time, then I will delete all TP's on the satellite and do it all over again. I like scanning between 4 & 6pm est, because of all the news at that time.

If you are receiving an active signal on a specific transponder, do you usually delete that transponder before you run a power scan again or do you leave that transponder? If you do not delete that transponder, does the transponder double up on the next power scan or do you receive that transponder just once?

I have been deleting them all,, it (receiver) won't let you delete all TPs, sometimes I have the active one remain in the system. I suppose you could do as you said, it sounds like a good way also. I just don't like to have the receiver (memory) loaded with unused TPs.
Yesterday I went to AMC 9 to check on RTV channels, they were very weak, so I deleted all TPs, power scanned and could not get a signal on RTV again. Now was it me or was it that the channels are up and down, who knows...I will check again today.
This is the fun part, I guess, of FTA.
