White Springs TV on 129W
Hi all,
My satellite system was down for a few weeks, just got it set up again, and found I cannot get White Springs TV anymore. I do get some transponders on this satellite, but no FTA. Does anyone know if White Springs TV is off FTA? I went on their site, looks like it has changed, and there is some note about changing frequencies. Thanks . Spongella |

White Springs TV
Yes White Springs has been down since 10\1 Due to technical issues is what I have read but they are updating equipment and going to be back soon.
The whole scoop is on http://www.ftablog.com

White Springs TV
Yes, there is something on their website to watch for new satellite coordinates, so hopefully they'll be back to FTA soon. That is one great channel, old Betty Boop cartoons, Bela Lugosi movies, films that are offbeat, etc. That's one great TV network.

I was both relieved and saddened to hear this. Relieved because I thought my antenna was broken again when the channel disappeared. And saddened because this was a truly great channel, something like a poor man's TCM. Hopefully they'll come back, on a better bird, and most of all with better sound. The sound quality of White Springs TV usually fell somewhere between bullhorn and cell phone, and that made it far less enjoyable to watch than it should have been.
I saw something on Lyngsat about the channel moving to Agiula 2 at 146W. If that's the case, will we be able to even get it at all, anymore? |

146 w ???
Wow, that would be a stretch for us on the east coast.
I pointed my old direct tv dish at 148 W and was able to receive a good signal (circular lnb, Dish Net mostly scrambled, but a few open channels). It was funny to see the dish when I had it pointed correctly. I liked to refer to it as "Worm Vision". The Altitude was all the way down at zero, and the dish was pointing just above the trees in the western sky. I am missing whitesprings tv. I hope they are back on soon. whitesprings.tv said that they will post the coordinates when it's back up. :-) Bill

Lyngsat lists White Springs on Aguila 2, but on a C-band transponder, so it looks like us FTA-ers are out of luck. I like the channel but I'm not going to put up a BUD for it! They do stream, but a tiny corner of my computer screen at 10 frames per second just isn't the same.
![]() I hope they come back to Ku, because viewers = advertising income, and there's more of us than they realize! |
