    "This TV"

With all the legal wranglings over RTN, several of their former affiliates on G18 123°W have switched to "This TV" which offers fairly decent MGM and United Artists films and old TV shows. (See THIStv - Check local listings for availability for schedule).

Check out WNGS (VPID 53) and KFDF (VPID 58) on 11720 V, and KKYK (VPID 60) on 11800 V.

Also on 11900 V, WPXS (VPID 57) runs movies that look like they were sent from a VHS player over a wireless link during a thunderstorm (they make White Springs look like High-Def!), but if you get a hankering for made-for-TV movies and old reruns, it's worth checking out!

    Whoa!

"Makes White Springs look like High Def"??!?!?

Somebody please help me up off of the floor!

I actually laughed out loud at that post and the cat was startled.

Thanks for the laugh... all kidding aside, White Springs is like a trip to the drive-in movies with a night of "B" movies playing, but where else can you have all of this fun (while squinting)....

This TV is as good as you said that it is, and I hope that they continue to stay on the air......

    Thanks!!! (Ha...flomp...ha-ha, ha ha ha!)

    Bill:

I'm glad I could amuse (goodness knows, I try)! I just wish I could still get White Springs. I suspect my neighbor's giant cypress tree may figure in my lack of signal...or I may need to go touch up the dish aiming. But I miss the "Vaseline on the screen" look!

In the meantime...there have been some changes to Galaxy 18, I suspect as the result of the shutdown of analog stations.

WNGS that I mentioned in my earlier post is dark, as is WNYI and KWWF.
WMQF & KARZ show up as zig-zag lines, and KUTF just shows a "K45GX" slide.

There's still plenty o' stuff out there!

Just FYI all you White Springs Fans the TP is changing to 12027...I think that is it.
So please please change your receiver TP to 12027. You wouldn't want to miss any movies...........Maybe they should clean the lens. Looks a little fuzzy.

    I miss RTN.
Politicians should be required to wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we would know who their corporate sponsors are.
