KUIL Beaumont Texas - it is there and it is DVB and it is free; but it's hard to pull in. You must have your dish aimed bang on. Most receivers do not have this transponder pre-programmed -- you must enter it manually and run a transponder scan.

I see a listing for KUIL-LP Fox in Texas AMC 2/4 & DirecTV 4S/8 at 101.0°W - LyngSat, but cannot seem to get it to come up on my receiver (MercuryII) Is this because it is listed as DVB? I thought DVB was handled by these receivers.
Yes I am new here, but if you folks could be kind to a newbie, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

For as much as I like to help out our members I simply do not have time to answer Private Messages or emails asking about setup and other general issues. Please post your questions in the forums and we will try to help you out. Thanks.
With the Mercury II you can just do a powerscan that will hunt for transponders and channels for you. If you don't get it then perhaps your aim is off. I was watching it before Ike and they were doing a lot of hurricane coverage. Then during Ike I looked for it and it was off. I haven't seen it since, but I don't know if it is back on the air yet...
VA 39N, 78W, Mercury II, Fortec 31", 36", 72", SG2100, DG-280, H180 (two DSR-922's sitting in a closet and to be the next project) HDTV TV with no pay tv.
KUIL is still there - I was watching it a few days ago, but all they seem to show is reruns of Judge Judy - yuck...
Thing about this channel is you must let your receiver lock onto it for a few seconds - power scan receivers seem to miss it first time around. You are better off manually scanning for it.
