AMC3 (87w) signal dropped 20%

I seeing a 20% signal drop on 87W. The Patient channel was at 80%, now down to 60%, but the PBS was at 45% now at 26% is now not watchable.

Is anybody else seeing problems with this satellite?

It chainsaw time. There's a small oak tree in the backyard, and his days are numbered.

Lol, are you sure it was heavy cloud cover or something dropping your signal quality?

Unlikely since all my signal levels from all other satellites are the same. My yard man says I need a permit to trim the tree, but I think he wants to charge me extra for the work. I'll get a tall ladder and try to prune it down this weekend.

Happy first day of Spring

Since today is spring time, I don't see the tree is blocking the sun at all. I think the motor must be getting old. When I move the dish from east to west, it settles at a great spot and I get a good signal. However, when I move the dish from west to east, it stops just shy and the signal is lower.

Don't know if this is related or not, but I can't get any signal on AMC3 at all. Yesteday (22 Mar) is the first time I've tried my receiver in a a couple of weeks, due to a massive windstorm blowing my antenna slightly off. I realigned it yesterday and all other sats come in just fine except for AMC3.

So no one else is having signal strength problems on this sat?
