signal is degraded when using switch. You might be consider switch with in-line power instead of passive one although the passive works most of the time. Seems like something wrong with the switch.

There's a short distance between the dish and multiswitch (few feet). The cable distances between multiswitch and receivers are between 30 and 80 feet.
