I strapped a DSS LNB to the West side of my Fortec Universal LNB, I can pick up FTA channels on 119 plus Music on 119,110,91 and 82. My question is how does this configure into a motor? My Fortec Universal LNB will plug into the motor, what will the DSS outputs plug into?
Does this mean I cannot control the motor if I want to use the DSS Lnb?
I'm installing my motor within the next few days (its a
SG2100) and was wondering how I am going to tackle this problem. I also will have a
Diseqc switch 2x1 available, but I am unsure how this is going to work with the DSS LNB + Universal LNB.
My plan is to have the dual outputs of the DSS LNB plug into a
Multiswitch. This gives me four outputs for DSS/Local Cable TV. One of these outputs I'd like to use for the FTA receiver (a PANSAT 2500a) but my thinking is since the DSS LNB is never connected to the motor in anyway, how am I going to get the motor to move when I go to NASA channel on the 119 bird?
Any ideas? I know people are using this same configuration, but I don't know if they are plugging a DISEQC switch near the dish, or the receiver? If I plug it near the dish, I loose the Multiswitch capability that I had previously with DirecTV. I have a
DTV sub and only want to use one dish for DTV and FTA.
Thanks for any ideas...
