Re: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Chris,
Please don't put your frustration on me, I don't work for Sadoun...:-), just simply mod this forum at my spare time.
#6. Instead of using radio shack meter, use signal of your receiver to tune the dish. Don't put any external signal meter between lnbf and receiver. A external meter will is a DC sucker...:-), which might cause the receiver signal meter not work properly.

Also, do not trust the dish elevation scale since the accuracy of the scale depends on the dish brand. Some have reported that the dish elevation scale is about 5-7 deg off. You might lower the dish elevation scale few degrees.
Feel free to post your questions here. Other members and I will try to help you as much as we can.
Michael

Did you read my post???????????????????? I have read and discussed it with your tech line 3 times. :?

Your truesouth sat is AMC5 at 79W:
http://www.lyngsat.com/amc5.shtml
Thank you, this gives me a starting point

1. Set your mount/dish elevation.
hh120 to 37
dish is at 20 (I tried 24, get better signal at 20)

2. Set skew at 0
yep

3. Go to menu, make sure the lnbf LO is set as "universal"
yep

4. Go to AMC5, pick a transponder. Remember to pick a active ones when tuning the dish at AMC5. Few active ones are:
11742 V 11110
yep

5. The azimuth of your truesouth is 180 +/- magnetic deviation. Check out the link below for magnetic deviation value:
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...Calculator.htm
yep, about 187

6. Aim the dish towards AMC5 direction, move the whole mount left/right. If elevation needs to be adjust, only adjust the DISH elevation.
yep got a signal meter from Radio Shark and the thing pegs out but still 0, no, nadda quality :x

7. Once you get lock on AMC5, try to maximize the signal quality.
not happening

Things end here. I can get a max signal of 72 and 0 quality.
I am loosing it!! A month now and no results, my kingdom for an installer to fix this thing!!
