are you talking to me - the originator of this thread? we are stealing nothing, we are always paying customers.

we became used to the pvr feature on dish tv and i am trying to investigate stand alone pvr technology for straight cable, for which i DO pay. we left dish tv during the contract dispute, we no longer subscribe nor do we steal.

thanks to my original responder for the info we were missing re the 501/508 dishbox NOT capable of doing pvr with straight cable.
