We have cancelled our Dish TV due to the recent contract dispute. However we find we MISS the PVR features. Is it possible to acquire a 501/508 receiver, hook it to our cable tv (is has no tuning box, just
classic cable) and use JUST the PVR features on the cable tv signal? We are investigating the personal DVR products but find they all seem to require a subscription. yuk! :cry:
