New install dish with rotor: mast offset 20°
Just recd new system today. Brainstorming of satellite instal
F.Y.I: location - San Antonio texas 78228
lat 29.42
long: 98.56, elevation 55.7 or P° of 55.7, LNBF -2.7°
azimuth 176.9 (180.1)
When I get on the roof, the mast is not level by 20° (havent yet permanently installed it yet. but as per the HH-100 instructions to get the elevation angle of the rotor is just to set the latitude setting (29.42), but for me that would be 29.42 PLUS 20° angle shift which would compensate for the 20° offset to say to make the mast level! The mast is now leveled. correct???? yes or no? ( what I should set the rotor angle to?, 49.42°?)
THEN: it says to get the elevation of the DISH or adjust the angle bracket on the dish. So for me would that be: BY THE FORMULA: 60°-P° + the
20° offset I have for the mast. Would that be 24.3°. [60-55.7+20=24.3°]
Is that correct.
I will probably permantely install the mast tomorrow and it will be NOT LEVEL by 20°, so In my calculations above I have to compensate for this 20° offset, then I can continue to DISH POINTING and recevier power up.
I would appreciate anyones input.
thanks art
