Three big dishes instead of a Dish 1000? Configuration???
Hey guys,
I searched around but saw no mention of this. I have serious problems with rain-fade, and I am considering just getting three monster 30" dishes instead of the Dish 1000.2 (seems that Sadoun only sells the 24" though, so I might just get that). At any rate, is the following configuration going to work? {see attached}. I assume it'd work much better than a signle Dish 1000 since the dishes are bigger and are individually aimed (instead of messing with skew).
1. The JVI switch only has one port for each dish, so I assume it'll be OK if I just run a single coax line to each dish?
2. Do I need the Dish Pro Separator anywhere in this configuration?
3. Where would the amplifiers go if I wanted to add those also, before or after the switch?
4. How could I add a 5th receiver... do I need to daisy-chain a second JVI switch, or would one of the smaller Dish Switches do it?
5. Could you diplex an FTA dish's output instead of an aerial antenna? I've got a single coax to each room and running more lines would be a hassel.
thanks,
Alex
