Diseqc 1.2 means you can control a motor with the receiver

Diseqc 1.0 means it will accept a 4x1 multiswitch

Diseqc 1.1 means the receiver will accept a 8x1 multiswitch (committed/uncommitted)

Diseqc 1.3 means it has USALS (where you set the motor on one satellite and it goes to the rest)

As for the motor, I know the Viewsat will control a motor. There should be an option in there to set it for motor
Hey Mr. Iceberg. I'm new to the FTA, although I have been messing with satellites since 1986 - installed my own 10' dish with HH polar mount and Uniden 7000 receiver. Now I have gotten into something new, this F2A. I got a package deal from Sadoun, 1M dish, DG380 motor, the QPH031 quad LNBF (two linear outputs and two circular), a switch that controls whether I am looking at an L or C output, and the Mercury II receiver. APparently I am confused as to what setting I should use in the menu setup. I tried to get my satellites tweaked in for best strength. The usals setup goes to 97° first (should go) to establish home position. However, when I tried to do this, the dish took off like a scalded dog heading east and didn't stop until it limited out. No matter what I do, all the different reset tricks, the dish won't move. I can hear the relay clicking inside the motor housing when I use the manual buttons, or try to go to home position from the receiver - still looking at almost ground level toward the east. I'm stuck. Has the motor gone bad? Or is it just my ignorance as to what procedure to follow next? Regards
