Stuck DG 240

I am helping a friend install/tune his fta system, and have run into an unusual problem. I took my satellite meter to his roof, and was going to fine-tune his antenna.

His antenna moves to the west accurately. When he tries to move it to the east, the antenna stops at approximately 97 degrees (IA5).

Have tried to reset it via the receiver.

Have removed the limits via the receiver.

Have also disconnected the coax, held the buttons for over 5 seconds, and then reconnected the coax. The lights do not flash as the manual says for the motor reset; and the motor will not go past the 97 degree position.

However, when using the receiver and telling the motor to go to 0 position, it will do that. The 0 position is approximately 87 degrees at our location, so the motor is capable of moving pas the 97 degree location.

Am I missing some little step in resetting the motor, either through the receiver or via the hard motor reset?

The motor had performed up until this point. It appears that it has some limit set in it, and we cannot figure out how to get past it.

Any suggestions are welcome.

P.S. The receiver works fine for satellites 97 degrees and west...
