I think you need to slow down a bit. Do you know what FTA stands for? Free To Air this means any channel in the clear so IF you have properly set up the receiver AND your dish is capable of doing Ku AND you have it properly aligned AND you have it properly connected you will receive channels that are in the clear along with channels you have subs to that the DSR receiver is capable of receiving. Just as the DSR will not do DVB a DVB receiver will not get the channels that are not DVB.

Maybe just maybe you should spend a little more time learning what you are talking about before casting stones at those that do. There are many people here more than happy to help you resolve whatever issue you are having BUT YOU have to listen. I do not know if you can use a BSC lnbf with a DSR receiver. I have found my BSC lnbf requires I use a specific port on the DiSEqC (external) to open up passage of data flow. I do know you MUST run separate lines for both C and Ku from the lnbf to the receiver so if you are using a jumper and trying to use only one line that is a beginning to your problems.

BTW I went to Sadoun's site and nowhere did I find that you can use the BSC lnbf with a DSR receiver to receive FTA channels. As a matter of fact I did not find anywhere that even mentioned a 4DTV receiver when talking about the BSC lnbf's. Perhaps you can supply the link to this material you speak of.
