Ok so you only have C Band operational. Not knowing what type of Motorola receiver we are talking about now the configuration of said receiver that is little help. So let's start with the dish. Is it a mesh dish? If so you need to take a shaprened pencil with you out to the dish and see if the lead of the pencil will pass through the hole. If so it is a very old dish and is not capable of Ku. If not at least we know the dish is usable for both bands.

Next you will not receive the channels on the fortec you received on the Motorola receiver.
