King your dish should already be set up so dont need to worry aim at any satellite, just start scanning from where the dish is now an go east or west from their.

But if your dish has not been moved in years take some time an grease the actuator an lube all moveable parts to make sure that you dont have any restrictions when it starts moving agin. Check out all hard ware to make sure that you dont have any play in the dish an actuator.

Also just got in a Powertech V-3000 box an if thats the same 1 you have comming a real nice peice like it alot better than the MotecII that i had befor...
