This is a subject that I am very familiar with. I have four Dish Network receivers and was audited by Echostar, the parent corporation of Dish. Although my audit was successful, I did find out the following:

It is NOT required that your receivers be connected to a phone line. However, as they explain it, if ALL receivers are connected, it allows them to test and verify that all are at the same location without a personal audit.

It IS their policy that all receivers on an account be used at the same location. IF you wish to use one receiver in an RV, they require a separate account.
