Rainman, you seem to have a greater knowledge on all this C-band, Ku-band satellite stuff. So, here is my decision maker. Should I buy a motorized 36" or 39" dish from Sadoun, and with the correct LNB, and MPEG-2 DVB FTA receiver. Will I be able to get satellites...Galaxy 10R which has the "Outdoor Channel", and G23 (the old T7 label) with "The Sportsman Channel on this smaller dish, other than my 10' BUD?

I know I can buy a MPEG-2 DVB receiver and slave it to my DSR922. But, there's a small problem. The wife may have the DSR922 set on G5 satellite, and I may want to see the Sportsman channel on G23... With that, we all can see to gets control of the remote control, and a flip of the coin to see who watches what.

So, will this work...buy a 36" or 39" motorized dish. Get a C/Ku-band LNB that will work so I can receive all digital C-band and Ku band satellites on the MPEG-2 DVB FTA receiver. Can this work?

Is the Fortec Star Mercury II one in same as a MPEG-2 DVB receiver?
