I've tried this method but the singals are not locking at 118 with any transponders. Somtimes i'd get an error 016 (the signal you are receiving is not from the sattelite you have selected)

Am i doing something wrong? please help.
This is not a splitter, It's a separator that separates high frequency and low frequency signal to be used on a dual tuner receiver. The separator needs a DPP switch or LNB to work. If you're connecting to one lnb for 118.7 you will need to connect the lnb to a switch first. You can run 2 lines to the receiver using DP34 switch without separator or run one line using a dpp 44 swich and a separator.
