Hi,
I purchased the Accutrac22Pro to fine tune the alignment on my new Dish Pro Plus dish.
I have a few questions on the Accutrac and on DPP technology.
Sadoun has a wealth of tech material online, and it helped somewhat.
Since the DPP has 2 LNB's and it has 2 outputs for my receivers, there must be an internal switch. How do I know that the Accutrac is seeing both 119 and 110 when I hook it up to the 2 output ports?
The Accutrac doesn't have the ability to select a satelite.
Do the Dish Pro Plus LNB's default to one selecting 119 and the other selecting 110 when not hooked to a receiver?
I called Perfect 10 the company that makes Accutrac, and they couldn't tell me. I called Dish support and they said "HUH!!". That's normal for Dish support.
I hope I am making sense. It seems to make sense to me.
After writing this note I had an idea. After I hook up the Accutrac, I could block the LNB.s one at a time and see if one then the other signal drops off. Of course that wouldn't help me if both outputs are the same satellite signal.
Thanks
