I don't have a 922, and I've never tried using the lnbf settings on any of my big dish IRDs, however I would have thought that what you tried, ie switching to the lnbf setting in the menu, should have worked. You might try putting a voltmeter on the ku coax to see if it is switching voltage properly.
Do you have a C/Ku system, or a ku only system? If C/Ku, is the C-band also an lnbf or is it regular polarotor? Ie I wasn't sure if the menu allowed polarotor for C and lnbf for Ku, although that might not be an issue here.
I guess if all else fails, you *could* slave the 922 to an FTA receiver, but that would be a clunky solution.
