In addition to what Steve said, I'd have to ask....
What is the SR value of the 11798 transponder that you say you have the lock on? Ie if by chance you scanned it in with a 20,000 SR value, then you're probably actually pointed at G23, in which case you'd get a lock, but couldn't scan in channels, since they are encrypted.
But if it locks with a 26660 SR value (or close to that), then you're probably on the right sat, and I don't know why it wouldn't scan in channels.
