I think this topic came up once before, something about Dishnet insisting upon having you hooked up to a phone line or something. I know
DTV asks you to hook up to a phone line, but you don't have to. I think when I was forced to move my Sunday Ticket subscription from
C-band to DTV, that there was a suggestion that if I didn't connect to a phone line (so they could verify the blackouts), that I wouldn't be able to subscribe, however that didn't turn out to be a problem.
But apparently phone connections ARE a problem for Dishnet subscribers.
