The easiest setup is the standard feedhorn / lnb configuration. Best to go with a feedhorn that does both c & ku. If this is a new receiver you will need to have it authorized prior to use. This is a free service that any provider can do. Many "free" channels are only free as long as you have a sub to at least 1 digital channel. With no sub they revert back into encrypted mode.
