I like the shed idea. I have seen those "little" rocks that you can get to cover your pizza dishes in the yard, and often wondered what people would say if you created a huge rock to cover a BUD in your yard. Just dig up a little dirt around the edges (so that it looks like the rock is protruding from the ground). Pay a couple buddies to walk around in official looking clothing with some multimeters and o-scopes in their hands for a little while the next morning. Then nobody will bother it.

Shortly after we moved to Maine, we were going to take a day trip, and we asked a neighbor to come in and check on our dogs. Well after we returned, and went to bed, and the lights were out, we looked up at the ceiling, and there were little glowing spots all over the ceiling. We were kind of freaked out, thinking the house was radioactive or something. We turned the lights on, and found that the neighbor had stuck a whole bunch of glow in the dark stars all over the place. Had a good laugh. 10 years later they are still there.

Maybe you could disguise a BUD as a giant sundial Particularly if you used a flat, ring-style reflector. It would only work for C-band, but still could be fun to build!

Well I was a bit taken aback by it. We were on good terms with the neighbor, but not THAT good of terms. Plus, I suggested that the stars were on the ceiling, but that wasn't quite accurate. Actually, we don't really have ceilings, since our house is a post/beam, and the roof/ceiling is WAY up there. Actually, this neighbor climbed up on top of a dresser to get up on one of the exposed beams, and put these things about 12-15' up on one of the walls, which is one reason why they are still there today, since I'd have to get a ladder to get them down. Still not sure how she kept her balance up on that narrow 6" beam.
