How to find Telstar5?

Is it very hard to get the Telstar5? I tried very hard but I failed. I am pretty sure I got AMC-4 once. It should be very close to T5 since AMC-4 is 101W and T5 is 97W. I don't know why. Anybody has any tricks?

T5 is a strong sat. It should be hard to find.
Few things you can check:

1. Did you +/- magnetic deviation to/from the azimuth?
2. Did you set the lnbf tilt correctly?
3. Did you use an active xponder to tune the dish?
4. Did you set up the LO correctly?

Yes, I did this.

Can you tell me what "clockwise" mean? I mean the direction to the dish, or direction from the dish to the satellite?

No.

Yes, it's 10750 mHz.

2.check out the link below for the lnbf tilt:

3. You have to use an active xponder to tune the dish. Check out www.lyngsat.com for more info.

4. If your lnbf is standard, 10750 is correct.
If you lnbf is universal, Low freq 9750 and high freq 10600.

Transponder. Simple word is frequency.

I got it! The signal quality is not very high though (60-70%), but good enought.

Glad to hear you make it work.
Digital technology is beautiful, isn't it? You either get it or don't.
Wait until it rains to see if you face rain fade problem. If not, no need to fine tune the dish.
