Alters nothing unless there is a way to tie the C and Ku together and break them apart again. The 922 requires a seperate line for C and a seperate line for Ku. The FTA receiver requires a single line in. This makes 3 lines. The C, Ku linear and Ku Circular can be grouped into one line with a DiSEqC Switch which the FTA receiver controls. Instead of splitting the Ku linear line simply hook up to the other port on the lnb. The C band line would have to be split in my mind prior to the DiSeqC. I am going to look at the link Sadoun provided.

I think I am going to have to run two lines the C-Band dish is 75' from House and I think I am going to mount small dish on roof. That seems the best way to do it. Thank You All for Your reply"s

Keep me posted on the progress. I still count 3 lines going into the House. I would like to hear how you did this setup utilizing less. That is if you are running C and Ku linear at the 922 and C, Ku linear and Ku Circular at the FTA

Yes there would be three lines.One from C-Band. Two Cir.one Lin.From Small KU dish into DiSEqC Switch and One line Lin.From Small KU dish into 922 KU spot.

Wonder if you could clarify ,the link above shows Splitter's one port pass , but post above says to use splitters with dc pass on both leg's? I have 36" dish ,hh90mtr,QPH-031lnb w / 22khz 2X1 switch between motor & lnb w/single coax running from mtr. to VS Plat. DVB & 10' C/Ku Astroel RP3 feedhorn running separate C & Ku coax feed's to 922 . So I split C&Ku w/ one port pass to 922, other's to 4X1 diseqC port's 3&4. Then I ran single coax from QPH mtr to port 1 and out port to DVB. Will this work? What would be proper switch settings. Thank's

If I understand what you have done it will not work for long. As I am reading this your DiSEqC Switch is located between the receiver and motor? This will burn out the DiSeqC. As to dual DC Pass splitters. Should have read single pass.

So the single pass diplex/Splitter shown in BUD / Slave II diagram is correct . I have 2 I got at Lowes made by Zenith for satellite, really heavy duty looking w/cooling fins on case only $12.97 ea., about 3 times the size of spliter at RS for $19.95 . But what your saying is if I hook the coax from hhmtr that has the 22khz /QPH to one of open ports on 4X1 disqeC shown in BUD/Slave II it will burn out 4X1? Would best solution be AB switch w(A)hh/22khz/QPH , (B) output of 4X1 C/Ku then AB switch out to DVB input ? Was hoping for way to have all three hooked up without having to use manual switch. BTW anybody using new SM3D22 mtr ? Seems like it's tailor made for QPH-031 & up to 120cm dish. I would like to get one but haven't seen any feedback on it.

So the single pass...feedback on it.

The best way to hook it up is to place the DiSEqC Switch between the motor and the lnbf. This means routing the split side of the cables over to the small dish. Not splitting in the house. Route coax receiver to motor, motor to DiSeqC, ports from DiSeqC to appropriate lnbf ports.

Other option is a a/b switch indoors but watch what you buy as most are for the 900Mhz and down. I am in the process of moving my small Ku dish to the back yard from the roof. I am also installing a dedicated Circular C Band dish. My small dish will be in the center of the two big dishes. I am taking the coax from dedicated dish to one port of a DiSeqC mounted on the pole of the small dish. I am then splitting my C and Ku lines from my other big dish and routing the splits to the center dish and hooking to the DiSeqC. Finally the lnbf on the small dish will hook to the DiSeqC.

I will have one cable coming in the house for the DVB receiver that will carry signal from 4 lnb/lnbf's. I will still have the ribbon cable coming in for the DSR922. At the present time I am unhooking and hooking up cables to the DVB based on what I want to watch. I will be glad when I have this move finished
