I was wondering if the C-band dishes you sell now could have a mount attachd to them to be used with an actuator arm and mounted with a pole..

that and a guide.
like what length actuator arm would you need for what weight/size dish (does it only have to do with the weight or the size of the dish for example?)

other brands of 4dtv recivers (like you have value brands for sale here)

I found a link
http://primefocus.com/shopdisplaycat...nd+Satelli te

I would like to know exactly what some of this stuff is actually used for and what do you really need to get going.

From reaserch the solid disks actually perform better then the mesh disks (they have better db gain and deflect more interfearance as if they are a bit larger) in other words your 8ft solid dish should have the same performance as a 8.5ft meash dish. IMHO your C-band solid dishes for a great price is what attracted me to your sight last year. I should have started asking these questions back then. Thats why I really want to know if your dishes can be used with some additional mounting hardware to be used with an actuator.

I also like the fact that you guys are just a 2hr drive from were I live.
I might be able to come pick stuff up if the solid dishes have to be assimbled.

rainman.. what is "4 ribbon cable" for exactly?
ribbon cable contains both coax cables for c and ku also has motor wires and servo wire all in one cable. also precision makes a c ku feed horn.

Not really, 8.5' solid or mesh is minimum, larger is always better like 9' or 10' and 12' you will get adjacent satellite interference with any reflector under 8.5' and it is not recommended for a receive site planing on getting C-band feeds now and in the future.

And for the C-band list:
4dtv
arms
ribbon cable
feeds
lnb's
mesh dishes
solid dishes
and C-band programming
package deals with 4dtv fta and 8.5' or 10' dish and everthing you need to set it up, a monster pack

Are there any other recivers that can come close in features?
Is its main selling point its compatibilty with HDTV channels?
Other then the HDTV compatabilty (and maybe the built in desyper) what makes it better then other Cband recivers?
Do any other recivers also tune into FTA satilite channels like it can? (I got the impression it could do mpeg from at least one of the advertisements I saw for it)

sorry I have little quite a bit to learn.. :mozilla_frown:

I was under the impression you could purchase a seperate digisiper I or II decoder box that you hook up with your reciver (OLD SCHOOL)

and digisiper 2 has FTA content as well doesn't it?

btw..
on another site.. I saw this product..

HDTV G.I. HDD200 w/GUI High Definition Decoder

"DigiCipher II Compatible"
