Cband/Kband Question Newbie

If I buy a Cband will it also pick up the K band signal?

Appreciate the help

Yes, if you have a KU band LNB

One more thing to keep in mind is the dish that you may have or may be purchasing. If it's a mesh dish and the holes in the mesh are any bigger around than a pencil, then it probablyt won't work well with KU.

If you have a solid dish or the holes in the mesh are small, then you're all set to go.

If you get a new dish it will have the tight mesh, if you want a used dish look around for a used one maybe get it free make sure it is in good shape know damage and is not warped and try to get nothing less than 10', to get both C-band and Ku-band you will need a dual band feedhorn with both C-band and Ku-band lnb's, to move the dish a old analog IRD will work or the best would be a 4dtv with a DVB unit slaved to it, here is a list of some big dish dealers:
