Re: AMC4

Same LO settings. If you dish aims at G3c, move it to the right about 5 or 6 degs, you will have to adjust the skew and and dish elevation (lower or higher depends on where your live). You can check the dish elevation of AMC4 at http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...Calculator.htm
then compare it to the G3C elevation.
You must use an active transponder on AMC4 when tuning the dish.

The easiest transponder to get a lock on is tp 6 (11,822 MHz). Unless you use a Birdog in which case set it to "V".

Help with aiming

Is the DTV 101 and the AMC 4 the same bird? I used a DTV IRD and a dss lnb hooked on a 33" dish to aquire signal. Once I got signal on the DTV 101, I locked the dish down and replaced the dss lnb with a ku lnb. My bb receiver will not get yellow bars (signal). I tried turning the lnb for polarization, but no luck. What am I doing wrong. Bought dish and lnb from you guys, so I know I got the right equiptment. Help.
Thanks

Re: Help with aiming

2 different sats at same position. Get lock on circular (directv) does not garantee you get lock on linear signal since the linear ku signal is way weaker. Also make sure you set the lnbf tilt correctly. Need to check LOF settings as well. Also pick and active transponder on AMC4 when tuning the dish.

Thanks for the quick reply,
I used a signal meter also, so I think I got it locked.
Is the LNB Freq. 1 and LNB freq. 2 the LO settings? It's currently 09750 and 10600, and LNB type is universal.

Is your lnbf universal type? If so, it's correct LO settings. Use this freq 12120, Pol V, Symbol Rate 30000 when tuning the dish.
Good luck
