i have a few questions about this. my buddy has a SDV-5500 and it has a white access card in the unit. I'm guessing the KU sat is pointed to 61.5 due to he is chinese and would want those channels.
frist question is can the SDV-5500 be turned in to a FTA ird.
the 2nd question is what type of card is the he using.
SDV-5500 was last generation IRD used by ETTV (in T5)and the card is a Viacess Card.
You can only reprogram it to watch FTA channelss in T5 or AMC4 or G3R
