CCTV4

I have an old dish. My parents have been watching CCTV4 for 4 years. on 12/31/02, the analog signal is gone. I had no idea which satellite the old analog signal is from. Anyone know?

I baught a new digital receiver, no signal detected. Anyone know where should I pont my dish to in order to receive the new CCTV4 program? Which satelite is the new one? How do I move my dish to point to the new satellite?

Thanks in advance
Jack

The signal is on the same satellite as the old signal. It is called Galaxy 3C and is located at 95W. You don't need to change your dish location or angles. Make sure your new receiver has the New transponder for CCTV already pre-programmed. If not, you will need to add it manually and then do a satellite scan (channel search) again.

Check the signal strength and azimuth for that transponder. If quality is low, adjust your dish slightly to peak your signal.

Now, the transponder frequency is:

Freq Polarity S/R FEC
11780 H 20760 3/4

Good luck...
