C-band and circular on the C621-2

I was wondering, can the C621-2 pick up both circular and linear signal if the circular plate is installed in it all the time?

Hi Vitruvius, When you inserting additional plate inside your C621-2 becomes circulary polarized. When you remove that plate it will be again lineary polarized. NO both polarizations circular and linear can be acomplished at the same time on this LNBF by inserting this plate. You can have either one type or the other type but not both at the same time. You need to have a different LNBF if you want both polarity.

Thanks for your help. I just got my Ku Band to work on my big C-band dish, so I am pretty happy now. Yes... I found a Ku LNB that has circular and linear and I have that wired to my diseq switch... works great... I was just curious about the big C/Ku LNB.
    Thanks

    Hi Vitruvius,
Can you tell me what will be name of this LNBF? I will be interested myself to get such LNBF which has C-band Ku-band linear and circular at the same time. Please let me know when free.

it is a BSC621-1 which is C band, and Ku Linear.
there is also a BSC621-2 which is C band and Ku Universal.
Sadoun now carries a Geosat C and Ku LNB.

    Thank you vitruvius,

BSC621-2 is very good LNBF and I am using right now no my big dish. However, its Ku-Band is still polarized linearly (if there is no dielectic plate inserted inside this LNBF) or circularly polarized (if is inserted). I will be interested in LNBF's with 3 possibilities as one. That will be: 1. C-Band, 2. Ku-Band polarized linearly and 3. Ku-Band polarized circularly in one LNBF. Please e-mail me and let me know if you come accross something similar to that.

PS. To let you know that BSC621-2 is retired right now and it was replaced by new LNBF which DMX741. This LNBF has way better specs than BSC621-1 or 2. Check on:
    DMX741 CKU LNBF
If you could get try also: Yuri C/Ku band LNBF which is an excellent for a big and movable C-Band dishes but is impossible to buy in North America. I hope this info will help you a bit more. Have a great weekned.
