    If the batter goes flat, the decoder's ID is lost.
    Therefore, those DCII channels would not come in, even if they are "in the clear" type DCII.

    There really isn't much of any value worth viewing on that list from the Lyngsat link, at least in my opinion.
    To each his own I guess.

    What makes you think that your battery is dead? If the unit has been left plugged in the battery will remain charged. I went through that last February and thought mine was dead and it was still fine and unit is over ten years old. I did buy another board as a backup if mine goes bad. Cheaper to replace board than battery.
    Just make sure you go to G1-3 and get updates from there. Also make sure you have a DC light on that transponder.
