I got my C-Band up and running... Yahoo.

Ok, I tried installing a H180 dish with a HH180 motor three times, and each time the HH180 motor broke. Here are some pictures if they let me upload them.

That motor seems too weak to move the dish of that size. In the middle it is OK, but at the far west or east, the motor really struggles and needs a little lift physically. I moved the dish as close as possible to the motor hoping that will make it easier.

Ok, i think you should be able to find the dish photos..

I finally found a two meter KTI mesh dish and put in my old BC621-2 LNB and a new actuator... and the thing works great... Good hard steel bracket with aluminum frame and a heavy duty actuator do a great job. This should hold up to the wind and ice in my area... That Fortec dish is great for a fixed installation, but since I couldn't get a polar mount for the dish, I found it to be a lot easier to pull an old dish out of someones trash... It isn't a big mesh dish, but it finds some great channels for me.

That HH180 dish may be good for my 31" Fortec Dish.... but maybe not good in an ice storm...

William, So are you using the HH180? What setup do you have? Can you post your pictures. Where do you live? No ice storms?

I agree that that motor is not designed right. I never had problems moving the dish with it... it was the wind and ice that destroyed it.
