    Need setup help please.....

Are there any analog channels left since the digital changeover , im about to install a c band dish and 4dtv box but do not have a subscription and was wanting to get the dish and box tuned and locked on sats b4 subbing. Could i do that without any channels coming in , i dont have a signal meter , i have put these things in long ago and just carried my tv and reciever out to the dish with me to get it tuned , is it still possible to do that?

Its been prolly 6-8 years since i installed one so im kinda ( actually more than kinda im REAL) rusty..... thanks everyone!

ther are a few analog channels left one at 99w and several on G1. best way is use a fta box to line up your dish that way you have a lot of channels to choose from see LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite)

The digital conversion did not affect the Satellite systems, they have been digital for many years now with the exception of a few analog channels left on G1. T5 (97w) designation for 4DTV has many FTA channels on it. This would be a good one to align your dish to without a subscription. See LYNGSAT FOR TRANSPONDER INFORMATION. If you want more FTA channels I recommend a Fortec Receiver from us with Blindscan. Very easy to use and scan with. Then use your 4DTV for the others.
