BSC621 not the 2
I got my 6ft dish installed then I install the BSC621, signal at 99 and no quality on sat KU/123W, I manage to get C/123 but KU band does not pick up anything, I install the KU band LNB and it works perfect, but I want to get both with no luck, and I can not find the plate that goes inside the LNB, will that be the problem?
thanks |

no you dont need to use the plate
There is a DISEQC switch in the LNBF to select C band or Ku band. How do you have it hooked up (cable wise)? - explain your cable connections. You can verify Ku by removing the short coax jumper and putting your receiver cable directly into the Ku connector. What receiver are you using? Are you using PORT 1 for C band and PORT 2 for Ku band?

the jumper is hooked, and to aim, I have a small tv, and fta unit so the wire is about 20 to 30ft, and I check both connection by removing the jumper, so I get c band signal and ku band. but i get c band quality and not ku band quality
using a Homesat and pansat 2700, captiveworks 800s. port 1 and 2? if asking if im using deseq? no thanks |

with a single cable from LNBF to your reciever, using DISEQC to select Port 1 for C band and port 2 for Ku band is the only way it will work.
The receiver must electronically pick which band to use. With the Jumper installed at the LNBF, change your reciever to use Port 2 for Ku band. I don't know what the screens look like on your receivers - but for a Fortec model there is a "PORT" setting. Use port 1 for C band and port 2 for Ku
