Dear members,
I have a an old 1995 C-Band dish which was used to watch the g14 sattelite. It stopped moving for a while so I bought a new positioner and LNB from Sadoun and installed it, and it started moving although it wouldn't move to the West after a certain point like it used to do. I used to get the error "ACTUATOR ERROR" always, but now it is only when surpassing a certain limit of going West usually at about 5300.
My problem is that I need to program my CBAND to get g14 again. I have no clue how to do that. I know G14 is at 125.0 degrees W or about 3800 H, but I don't know how to program that.
I have a Uniden "Video Cipher II Plus" reciever descrambler equipped UST-44000 super. My box that we just bought from Sadoun, and I have no clue what it does, is a "GBOX."
My uniden reciever only has the following options on it: East, West, Channel, Fav., and "call." When I go to "call" to change sattelites to the G14, I don't know how to get it to go to the new and current coordinates. It only has a E-W number that begins with about 1000 and ends with 5400.
Thanks.
Is the Uniden set as a west limit at 5400 that is editable? If not simply slide your actuator deeper or shallower in it's mount. If you can change the 5400 I would do so providing your actuator has sufficient travel available.
Sounds like you do not need the GBox. It is used to position the dish and takes input from the coax. Usually connected to a DVB MPEG2 receiver. It then converts that signal and sends it out the little wires that drive the actuator.
