How do I connect an FTA to CBand

First off let me explain I am a total newbie to this FTA and Satellite stuff. So alot of technical language will loose me everytime. I know the cable that is for the CBand dish has several cables in one. Well I dont have that many places to connect to on the back of the FTA.

I bought the MKIT2 from Sadoun this past winter and never could get it installed So I thought CBand might be easier LOL boy was I wrong

I live in WV and cant find any installers here the only thing they know how to install is dish and directtv dishes. SHEESH my dog could probably install them dishes the real experts know how to install these movable dishes.

So anyone that would be willing to give me advice on CBAND and the MKIT2 with the SG2100 motor in a language anyone could understand it would be greatly appreciated.

One of the workers at Sadoun talked to me on the phone when I was trying to install the Mkit2 dish with the motor and he told me my true south was at 188 on the azmuth.

A friend of mine was telling me that there is no sats located there in order to get a signal from and working from there but he did say there was a canada sat located at 189 do i try to hit that sat and work from there to get my free to air channels?

I hope this post isnt inappropriate as I know that the 189 is not a fta sat but just thinking it would be a reference point to start trying to get this thing to work

what part of WV do you live in I may be close as I live in eastern Ky.

Check with Techman@wildblue.net how much he charges. He is an installer in WV and he might be able to come to install it for you.

I started out using a local tech and have come to understand some basics for you.First locate mexico City fromWV. Then center your dish on that point say G5,then tothe west find G1 get your downloads/guide and signal hits.Make shure your dish is @35 degrees,Then go east to G3.Make shure to set your limits first,so you won't have to go back each time.After that it's just about search and set.UI hope this helped!
