6 Foot prodelin need polar mount suggestion...

I posted here a while ago that I acquired a 6' solid fibeglass Prodlelin dish and was able to do a temporary setup to scan in some DVB C-band signals. The dish was originally used for fixed Ku service and I will be using it for C-band with an actuator. I see Sadoun's 6' dish advertised here with the polar mount but does anyone know if he just sells the polar mount by itself? Also the dish weighs over 100+ pounds because it is fiberglass, would that be a problem? I will still need a conical scalar ring for the LNB because it is offset but that should be no problem. I looked on Prodelin's website and could find no information on polar mounts for that dish. Should be fun once I get it assembled....Comments and obervations are most welcome....

Get to know a welder- you won't make the fortec mount work with that monster. I have a 6 ft andrew x-band alum. dish, and I'm in the same boat. My Cband mesh dish has a beefy mount, but even that's too light for the 70+ lbs of the andrew, much less the wind load.

I'd scale up a picture of a polar mount, and use 1/4" or better thoughout.

I have the same dish sent them a e-mail this is what they sent me.

Thank you for your request. The antenna you mention is a 1.8m antenna system.

We do offer a polar mount for this system.

The polar mount is part number 0800-665 and the price is $240.00

Availability is generally 5 to 7 business days.

Thank you,
